One of James Turrell’s world-famous Skyspaces at Rice University

„Twilight Epiphany“ is a striking light art installation by James Turrell, located at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Unveiled in 2012, this sculptural installation is a place for meditation and for experiencing light and space. Visitors enter a pavilion-like space that has been specially designed to explore the relationship between light, the sky and the viewers. At dusk, the space is transformed by skilful lighting control, creating unique visual effects that reflect the sky in various colours. Turrell’s work invites reflection on the perception of space and the natural environment, offering a transcendent experience that redefines space and time.

On behalf of LED and control technology professionals feno, we provided consultation and created visualisations for the lighting engineering implementation.
