Two light art projects in one house

Galileo

The „Lightshaft II“ project by James Turrell is located in the lift lobbies of the Gallileo Tower and the neighbouring Commerzbank Tower, where coloured neon tubes set into glass floors create a vertical band of light, visually connecting the two buildings.

Our team technically supervised and implemented Magdalena Jetelová's „Escape Velocity“ project by having cold cathode lamps with sensors installed in the transluscently glazed staircases and walkways, which interactively illuminate the movements of users and create a dynamic experience.
