In the summer of 2005, the employees of Generali Insurance moved into their new main administrative building in Munich-Neuperlach, which, as the third building, completes the group of administrative houses. The architectural firm HPP designed a clearly structured office building and connected all three administrative buildings via a central axis. The lighting designers from Werning Day & Light created a well-thought-out lighting concept that puts people and architecture at the centre.
The main corridor is fitted with discreet, well-blended downlights to preserve the transparency of the glass structure. A dynamic, coloured light moves through the space, accentuating the continuous nature of this connecting axis. Meeting pods provide additional highlights, transforming into ice-blue cubes when activated.
For the offices and meeting rooms, pendant Siteco luminaires were chosen, providing harmonious task lighting. The exterior lighting was developed in collaboration with landscape architect Otto Bertram to complement the building's architecture, while discreet light sources subtly accentuate the surroundings.
