An architectural icon from the seventies elegantly transferred into the modern era.

In Neue Mainzer Straße 32-36, amidst Frankfurt's banking and high-rise district, an atmosphere has developed over the last 50 years that is almost reminiscent of Central Manhattan. The high-rise building, which opened in 1974 and was designed by the award-winning competition entry by Richard Heil, is itself reminiscent of the famous Seagram Building in New York. The associated multifunctional forum was designed by Lord Norman Foster.

In 2016, German Estate Group set itself the task of revitalising the building while respecting its history, with the aim of creating a high-quality, modern office high-rise according to the plans of meyerschmitzmorkramer architects. The style of the lobby is inspired by the architecture of 1930s Manhattan.

The lighting picks up on the architectural design language, emphasising its charm and uniqueness in today's urban landscape. The listed facade is highlighted in its form and materiality, and once again presented in the Frankfurt cityscape.

Following the „Gallileo“ and Tower 185, the Global Tower is the third high-rise building for which DAY & LIGHT has been responsible for the lighting design.
