Project Team DAY & LIGHT

Just a stone's throw from the Kurfürstendamm, we were tasked with developing a lighting concept for the H'Otello boutique hotel on Savignyplatz, which atmospherically captures the vibrant surroundings and clean architecture. The focus was on light for cosiness and well-being – with a balanced ratio of diffuse brightness, accentuating direct light, and characterful lighting objects.
In the restaurant, large-format decorative fabric lamps create a warm ambience and mark the communicative centre. Complementary downlights create specific highlights, generate brilliance on surfaces and lend a three-dimensional, high-quality room feel through targeted contrasts and shadows. The lighting moods can be flexibly adapted to the course of the day – from a lively breakfast to a subtly staged dinner.
In the spa area, indirect lighting predominates. Concealed light sources provide soft, homogeneous, and glare-free illumination, emphasising peace and intimacy. This creates a harmonious transition from the bustling city into an atmosphere of light that supports arrival, deceleration, and regeneration.
