Despite the continued presence of the through road, the main square in Landsberg is noticeably quieter and more elegant again following the completion of its refurbishment. The new traffic management and flooring have eased the traffic situation and created a new quality of public space. Under strict heritage protection guidelines, the lighting elements remain equally subtle and create a high-quality lighting ambience. The light is concentrated on the perimeter of the square through discreetly placed wall lights, creating space for individual accentuations. Cable lights provide supplementary, widespread illumination while remaining inconspicuous as structures. The road layout is made clear almost exclusively by a subtle light line in the ground.
