Contribution Lighting Concept for Lohrer.Hochrein

Lighting concept Between islands and trees along Carus Allee, poles with freely adjustable luminaires and varying light point heights are loosely distributed. They ensure adequate illumination of the traffic areas – with higher light points and uniformity in the bus lane area and, for example, for the skater areas, as well as lower light points and lower illuminance between the tree and seating islands. The free distribution of poles and light points creates zoning adapted to the pathways and seating areas, as well as clear dynamism and liveliness through the interplay of light and dark. In the area of the retention basin and the beach areas, the 1m high light points on bollards are intended to provide only subtle pathway lighting and preserve the experience of the night. Nevertheless, a pathway connection with facial illumination near the bus lanes is maintained.

The game of amorphous island and path shapes is to be supported in some areas by playful accent lighting, such as underlighting benches or subtle tree uplighting. Integrated lighting is also to support the fountain installation at the junction, with subtle spotlights being added in winter by mast-mounted floodlights.
